First book in a series of three, it is a really good collection of Marx’s political observations of the 1848 revolutions across Europe. It includes Manifesto, Demands of the German Communist Party, Observations on Poland and articles written by Marx (and sometimes by Engles) in Neue Rheinische Zeitung which are actually analysis of the revolution.

May 22, 2015 In 1848, Marx, supported by Engels, completed the “Communist Manifesto”. This was a mixture of others people's beliefs consolidated into one.

Marx had been writing political tracts. Marx and Engels hoped that the revolution would only serve as "the immediate prelude to the proletarian revolution." They immediately hailed the revolution which first broke out in France on 24 th February 1848. "The year 1848 is turning out well", wrote Engels. The Communist Manifesto, German Manifest der Kommunistischen Partei, (“Manifesto of the Communist Party”), pamphlet (1848) written by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels to serve as the platform of the Communist League.

In 1848 they collaborated in writing The Communist Manifesto. Expelled from Prussia in the same year, Marx took up residence first in Paris and then in London where, in 1867 he published his magnum opus Capital. A co-founder of the International Workingmen’s Association in 1864, Marx died in London in 1883. Tariq Ali is a writer and filmmaker.
